My DD had 2 friends at 12 change their name and said they wanted to be boys. It turned out to be a phase and they are back, at 14, to wanting to be girls and going by their original names. Of course some kids know they want to transition and know it young, but clearly some kids are experimenting and that is okay too. I thought it was a reasonable approach from the parents. [/quote]
