Are any of these people actually equipped to be parents? They all have their own brand of toxicity and baggage. Kailyn seems like she has major narcissistic tendencies. Amber, a violent, under-treated bipolar. Maci has Ryan and his enabling family. Cate and Tyler? Jenelle? Leah? Don’t get me started.
I think Maci is doing the best of all of them. Sure, Bentley has to deal with ... well, being named Bentley, AND Ryan. But he's got a guy who seems like a good stepfather and I think things are okay for him. His life is focused on school, sports, siblings, and Ryan and MTV filming are just things he does on the side.
I think Bentley probably has the best shot at a "normal" healthy adulthood, will go to college, and hopefully not have any children until he's ready. His parents though were one of the most financially stable couples (Ryan was a diesel mechanic and had graduated HS) to start with. Their story was painted more of a high school sweethearts started their family early, and they planned to get married. I think Gary has had the most maturity and sharpest rise. He and Amber were from lower-middle income families, not a lot of education all around. But Gary remained the stable parent for Leah whiloe Amber went off the rails, married his wife (who treats Leah like her own), had just one more child, and operates their lovely hobby farm. He's also bought some homes for rental income. Smart. He's not a genius, but he's a good dude and it's nice to see his little family doing well. Leah will do okay in life because of his guidance.
