I didn’t drink in HS but if I wanted to have any friends at all I occasionally needed to go to these parties. There is no way my parents would allow me to go so I just lied. I got very good at lying because my parents didn’t trust me to do basically anything. Which I understand, but did they expect me to be okay with having zero friends through adolescence? I went to some of these parties but never did partake in drinking or drugs. It’s possible. [/quote]
