My understanding of “no threat to the public” is that it means that the victim was targeted specifically. It wasn’t a random crime or even a crime of opportunity. So even if they haven’t caught the suspect yet, the general public isn’t believed to be at risk. Unlike something like the DC sniper which was random attacks and the public was at risk. [/quote]

Well, they are not “the public” and as another data point, they all stayed in the US and did not go overseas to Italy, where several of them were scheduled to go.  [/quote]
