Around 730 when Hoda, Craig, Al and Carson are at the news desk. They all looked like they were on the verge of tears and trying to not cry on TV. I thought they had received bad news over the break and we’re going to break the news on the air. I speculated that they privately received an update from Savannah, which is why they were broken up.
Craig had to clear his throat several times I noticed that too.
Carson was pretty broken up as well and that’s when my antenna went up. It was just a split second and my interpretation of that moment.
Obviously didn’t announce anything on the air only that they would be reporting on regular news and that’s what Savannah would want.
I know they are close in real life, so it is not out of the realm of possibility that Savannah is updating them privately.
Is there a clip of this?

This is about 30 minutes after Craig said Hoda would be with them this week and they had a completely different demeanor at 7:30 versus 7 AM – more somber. I hope we’re just reading into it but if you look at the two clips, there’s a definite mood change.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed it. You nailed the description of the moment; somber and mood change.

It sounds like there was a barely functioning ring doorbell and something that let them know ‘approximately’ when the garage was closed.
I’m a nobody but I have a system that is much more precise than that - it at least would be able to tell me the exact time a person was on my driveway; what time they were at the door; and what time the door was opened, with supporting video that goes to an app.
+1 She did not have enough supports in place for someone of her age and health issues living alone on that property. .

Wouldn’t the kidnapper easily begin to target her cohosts and their families as easily as they did Savannah’s mother?
No order for additional security at the NBC offices or family homes?
My understanding of “no threat to the public” is that it means that the victim was targeted specifically. It wasn’t a random crime or even a crime of opportunity. So even if they haven’t caught the suspect yet, the general public isn’t believed to be at risk. Unlike something like the DC sniper which was random attacks and the public was at risk.
But do they know this? Or just think it?
DP They can't both think this (that the public isn't threatened) and have a hotline for tips. A hotline suggests they have no suspect in mind. So why wouldn't the public be at risk if there is someone running around kidnapping elderly while they sleep?

Everyone called me a liar 50 pages ago when I posted that I saw on fb or insta that her sister was taken into custody. Sadly, this is looking more likely. Just savage.
Her sister was in the family video holding Savannah’s hand. She was not taken into custody.
this is like a movie if she is involved though. The level of deception to Savannah is just as bad if not worse than the crime
I have a very hard time believing that a daughter would harm her mother, much less her elderly mother.
Men are much more likely to commit violent crimes. Just based on the odds alone, I wouldn’t suspect her sister. A male in the family - maybe. But they’re presenting a united front which points to it not being a member of the family.
Of course the sister didn’t kidnap the mom. My god, people are getting caught up in dumb conspiracy theories. I suppose that happens when there is little information - imaginations go wild. But this poor lady is missing her mother.
Nobody suggested she kidnapped her mom. What is suggested is a murder occurred (accidental or otherwise), and the missing person call was false

But her peers would then be at risk as would their family members I would think. If she was at risk due to her job and the people she interviews, etc..
