The dems can continue to pass bills to re-open the government, except for DHS, and the GOP can continue to sit on it and suffer in public perception. The American public backlash on this has been pretty clear. At some point, the residents of states like Alaska where the Federal presence is strong and the shutdown has a material impact on the economy will force Senators to act against McConnell.[/quote]
