ECNL and USYS have aligned on an 8/1 cutoff

Leagues already allow GY for HS Seniors. There have been no additional discussions about allowing GY for any other age groups.

What? GY are all players from the same class competing for the same spots in college and all are on the same recruiting schedule.

The rule will let them play with their grade. Players and parents don't have a say on wanting or not wanting certain teammates.[/quote]

And yes people will get pissed if players from an older team steal their kids minutes at showcases. And when this happens GA will implement a rule not allowing playing down or they'll be BY and it wont matter. Either way people will be looking for exits.

ECNL wildcards for playing in playoffs are dependent on showcase performance.

How pissed would you be if your kids team missed out on playing in the playoffs because some holdback wants to play down.
