How? Where is the will to pack the courts? What a fking futile and backwards bunch of sht all this is. It’s the same with regulating arms. We can’t even do that with any teeth. Just fking accept that religious loonies and “rugged individualists” who have a high school degree or less control the policy decisions in this country because the electoral college that prevents the “tyranny of the majority” allows them to. Accept that there are fk tons of idiotic zealots here who know how to lobby and vote. It’s done. Until the young generation who skew progressive do something in like 30 years. It’s all fked. That’s why moving to Costa Rica or Portugal sounds so nice. Safer, good waves, and less condescending inbred types.[/quote]

It’s going to get shtty. I agree. Obviously this will cause incredible treble effects health wise.

But my point stands. The conservative have ground the gears of a functioning society to a halt, and they have the courts and apparently the constitution girding any meaningful change. Gun restrictions are impossible now, even with this stupid senate bill that is toothless. And abortion has gone to the states and it’s all fked. It won’t change until whack job conservatives are replaced by a more tempered and progressive young generation who by and large are pro abortion. That’s it. So I’ll see you in 40 years or whatever. As for now, watch the effects of this idiotic, religiously based bs. Your organizing will amount to a show of performative group anguish that will look good on the news but amount to nothing substantive. It’s all fked because conservatives and religious whackos are great and controlling the levers of power.[/quote]
