Anyone watch this week's episode?
I've never seen Tyler behave so bitterly. I can't see how he'll be able to turn it around (his attitude towards Caitlyn) during their separation. He is so done. Otherwise, why wouldn't he just take a long vacation? Talking to his mom, he describes the problem mostly as wanting "his turn" for the same type of self care Caitlyn got at her many rehab facilities. I mean, I don't think marriages should require that type of extensive me-time, but in this case, I think Tyler deserves it. However, I noticed that Tyler is really the one with all the power in the planning and execution of the separation. So, why is he dragging his feet? He says the house isn't ready, but why would he need to be ready for a porch to be done in order to live in the house? Or why not move into a hotel? Maybe he doesn't actually want to leave. Bristol: I actually do feel sorry for her. Essentially, the counselor advises her (and Dakota expects her) to avoid his triggers. That's DIFFICULT when everything triggers him. Sadly for both of them, due to his PTSD, she is supposed to allow him to emotionally abuse her so that he doesn't get triggered. And Dakota has poor insight at this time. Hopefully, he'll heal in time.
