Well your reaction is normal for anyone, females especially. But then those 5 men could be white and still you should be afraid. There is a difference between situations where your self preservation instincts take over and racism. [/quote]

Huh?   Her point is if she was in Georgetown at the same time, and 5 white male Georgetown students turned the corner she would not be afraid.  However, since it was 5 black kids she was.   Does that make her racist?[/quote]

Please read again. It was made clear that the reaction is situation dependent. Just because someone saw 5 black men approaching doesn't mean they are there to rape her. It depends on place and time, and other factors. It is better safe than sorry.

But here is the same situation that could have worked really bad for the black guys. Supposed she called cops and complains that she is afraid of the 5 black men. If the cops are white and books them on some made up charge because he believed her word, then that is racism. Do you think if those men were white, they will face the same serious charges or let go after hearing their side of the story?[/quote]
