Streets, sidewalks, front yards, flower pots, crammed into every nook and cranny, at the beach, parks including National Parks and off the beaten path hiking trails etc.

But it is part of the cool of smoking - you can and should toss your waste because I guess you are marching to the beat of your own drummer and that justifies all of it.

The most absurd thing is how stupid smokers look with all the nervous hand tic BS stuff they do - the flicking and tapping and different ways to hold their cigarettes to try to look cool and different.  But the stupidest and my favorite is the "packing" of cigarettes before smoking one - as if that somehow is going to improve the consumption of a highly manipulated manufactured product with over 7000 added chemicals.

I guess we know different smokers because the majority of the ones I know are nice people who happen to have a bad habit. Maybe you're just to busy silently mocking the ones you know to see past that one habit you judge or perhaps it's a case of like attracts like.[/quote]

That's a fair response - I've got family members I adore who smoke.

But they, like most smokers, are still electing to litter and are still electing to look like idiots with all the hand tic silliness.  And that is important - because at some level if there was more shame (instead of pretending these ancillary things are somehow ok and even cool) I think there'd be less smoking and that would potentially be a good thing for at least some of the people I care about.[/quote]
