I'm haunted by a GRey's anatomy - it's one where some sort of pipe went though 2 people, impaling them and pinning them together.  They're going to do surgery to remove the two people - an older man and a young 20-something woman.  Well, after X-rays or examinations, they figure out the man can survive, but the pipe or whatever it is has ruptured her heart of something, and the only thing keeping her alive is the pressure of the pipe, and once they take it out she will die, no possible way to save her.  The man and woman have been joking and becoming friends, and they have to tell them he will live and she will die.  She says she has no family or anything to call to say goodbye.  So they start the surgery, remove the pipe, and leave her body aside to all work frantically to save the man.  Meredith is the only one who makes any attempt to save the young woman and becomes just drenched in her blood.  (and the whole thing is a big metaphor for Meredith, as she's just learned Derek is married and he's going to work on his marriage, leaving Meredith as a casualty on the side).  I've just always been haunted by the thought of knowing that you will die and there is nothing you can do about it, what you would do or think.

On a different note, hell yeah Roz falling down that elevator shaft was un-freaking-believable!!  [/quote]
