You missed the most important one. Test scores, which though not perfect,are the best measure of education quality available.

Actually the past tests are unrelated to the quality of "education" in a given school (we'll see about future tests). My kids have said the DC CAS was pretty unrelated to anything they are learning in school (not at Hardy). What these scores do for a parent is give you a rough sketch of the academic potential of the cohort. But even then there are kids who don't take the test seriously, kids who underperform, and kids who test well but are not great students. In choosing a school, I'd say relying on these old test scores is a huge mistake. You can do better by talking to the school, teachers, parents, etc.[/quote]
