I was following a recent thread in the VA Public Schools forum schools that discussed diversity in FFC.  If you are looking for a diverse community, McLean is a multi-ethnic and diverse city in Fairfax County according to the posters in that thread (quoted above). [/quote]

I'm the Turkey Run (McLean) poster from earlier.

McLean is quite white.  Not sure where they get 40% minority population. My DH is AA, and he always jokes that it's pretty much him, Colin Powell, and 1 of the Redskins. (oh, and our kids....)

There is a lot of diversity in terms of nationality, though.

White alone - 36,273 (75.4%) 
Asian alone - 7,156 (14.9%) 
Hispanic - 2,335 (4.9%) 
Two or more races - 1,293 (2.7%) 
Black alone - 851 (1.8%) 
Other race alone - 145 (0.3%) 
American Indian alone - 48 (0.10%) 
Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander
