One of my closest friends in HS had parents like this. He was completely controlled and was expected to excel in academics and had so many expectations. He almost failed out his first year and got 2 different STDs within 6 months of starting college. He ended up reining it in and doing ok but Let me tell you, keeping a kid under those kind of conditions is really a recipe for disaster.
