You have to remember that Bree thinks Lucy lied about being SA. She thinks the tape is true and she has NO clue she was lying for Pippa's sake at the time she sent the tape out. She also has just been through a succession of betrayals: Marianne, the school, her mom not believing her about Oliver being a predator, Evan sleeping with Lucy, Wrigley sleeping with Pippa. So the tape reveal does not happen in a vacuum or just to get revenge against Lucy. [/quote]

Oh, you are right I didn’t realize she did not know about the Pippa thing yet. That said they were best friends and wouldn’t she have gotten Lucy’s side of the story? It would be so out of character for anyone to make a tape claiming that they made up sexual assault on campus? I would just be like did someone force you to do this? Did Stephen force you? What was going on? For her to just send it out… I get that she had undergone a lot of trauma, but it was a bridge too far for me. [/quote]
