Did not inherit money but got a nice boost in life with paid-for college, a paid-for new car upon graduation that I drove for almost 20 years, and the generosity of relatives who let me live for free or almost-free rent at different times in my early adult life. Employer paid for grad degree, so there was a lot of financial help and privilege along the way to get me there. I'm very conservative and careful with money, but without the head start, it would have been a much longer road.[/quote]
