If CMP is normal, that has glucose in it. If that is normal and A1C is normal, no concern about diabetes. Radiology locations will not do 3 tests at a time. You can’t have MRI abdomen and pelvis and MRCP. You can have MRI abdomen and MRCP. You mentioned MRE. That is looking for inflammation in your small intestine. Great news that everything is normal so far!
Just gave my TSH and cancer marker bloodwork today. Crossing my fingers.
What? I thought you said they took them all the same day and was waiting on those to come back?!
I’m wondering if her doctors are all correct and Op actually just has health anxiety and is losing weight from severe anxiety. Because why would you go get all these bloodwork orders and then wait a full week to even go get them drawn, if you’re convinced you have cancer? Also, the multiple scans within the past year all being clear is an excellent sign. OP I’m kind of confused by what you’re up to but as someone who has known people to have lots of weight loss and it end up being cancer, I do hope you are ok. Please post an update when you can!
Op here. Before jumping to conclusions it would have been nice if you and the PP had read my updates. Why would I wait to give my tests?
I have no idea but you posted saying the doctor ordered bloodwork like a week ago. Maybe they took a long time to send over the order? Which sucks. I don’t know what was wrong with the next comment- going to the ER for abdominal pain and rapid weight loss will absolutely rule out most cancers within the 6-8 hours that you’re there. I personally would not hesitate to do this Since it sounds like you’ve gotten worse quickly within the last couple of weeks. And if everything looks clear that’s great- waiting until January to get the other more detailed stuff done is probably safe. My fingers are crossed for you
OP here. Thank you! I was just replying to the statement that I may have anxiety after all. I gave my blood tests the day after I saw the doctor (had to go next day since they wanted me fasting) and only after I got my results few days later I knew that the CA19-9 and TSH tests were left out. I had not asked for a printout of what tests were ordered from the lab technician inside the doc office. I had to go back again for these and had more tests - Vitamins B6, K, A, CA19-9, TSH, C4. Again had to wait for my results - apparently some Vitamin tests longer than others. So I was not waiting a week to give the tests like it was mentioned. I now got back my TSH and CA 19-9 results and those are normal. C4 was high (inflammation marker). Still waiting on the Vitamin test results. Have been able to get an earlier cancellation appointment for one of the MRI's so I am happy about that. Since C4 was high, I guess I will have to go back for further blood tests this upcoming week. Doctor has not sent any message yet so I will have to call and follow up.
