Thinking about it as a political issue. What do you think the proper justification is for it, if any?
It's delicious and nutritious. What exactly is your question?
Is the taste and nutrition of it justified when it ends someone else’s life? There are plenty of other options for delicious and nutritious food.
Someone else? Anthropomorphic much? And there's nothing as delicious as meat. To prove my point, there's no artificial artichoke or carrots made from meat. Yet there's artificial meat made from soybeans and peas. Why would a vegetarian want to eat fake meat if it weren't inherently more delicious?
Is an animal more of a someone or a something? It’s not a thing. It’s a living being. We’re all animals at the end of the day. I’m not denying that meat tastes good. I’m asking if you think it’s ethically justified to kill an animal because you think its flesh tastes good?
I mean you're an idiot. I'm asking if you think it's ethically justified to live on this earth because you're happy? Your question of killing an animal to eat it is so stupid I wish you could listen to yourself. Since the beginning of time people have hunted and eaten animals and oh by the way, there were plenty of berries and vegetables to sustain them! It's not the eating of meat that's detrimental as it is the waste of any resource. The most spiritual of civilizations have eaten and hunted meat - that in itself is not anything to be ashamed of. People like you are confused and cannot process big picture thinking that involves complexity of thought. It's like people who are against buying diamonds in the raw. It's not all slave labor - done correctly - nothing is as effective in providing resources to poor communities in African mines as the wealth generated by diamond sales. The ones who are greedy should be locked up in how they withhold funds from those who work, but the sale of those diamonds are the lifeline if those communities - they were given a natural resource to sell and people who don't understand that legit sales of diamonds contribute wonderful ways by which communities can be supported lack intelligence. By suggesting you shouldn't eat any meat because all animals should live is just totally insane.
