I imagine the mother, if she had lived, would have suffered terribly for the rest of her life. That said, what an odd dismissal of someone's right to live. Maybe she would have wanted to live. Maybe she could have accomplished good things with the rest of her life. Maybe there are people - such as her other son, her friends and relatives - who love her and needed her to live.[/quote] She showed that she didn't value her own life or that of others by keeping accessible guns in a home with a mentally unstable young man. There were a million other, more productive ways she could have spent her time and yet she spent her time at the gun range learning how to, presumably, shoot other people so don't preach to me about all the good she would have done if she had lived. She would have spent the rest of her life fighting lawsuits and living like a social pariah.[/quote]
