bottom line, MDers say what you will, you're entitled to your opinion (in VA, we believe in personal liberty).  but despite the misguided arrogance based on legacy and not current reality, your preference not to look at all facts (not just a nicely cherry-picked subset), you can't deny that NOVA is moving faster ahead than MD, and there is an impact in society as a result.  where there is money, there will be better schools, services, etc. etc. but you already knew that since you're clinging to the fortunes that originally supported MD development but which have since moved beyond your borders.
