So instead, hey motherf*ker - I live in VA work in DC and my commute is not 2 hours but rather only 10 minutes.
Yes, Virginians like the person above are just the epitome or old-fashioned Southern classiness! When I read "hey motherf*cker," I just think to myself, gosh, that person is just so educated and is making such a good point!
that's you get for being an obnoxious marylander - tough to take one's medicine lest one resort to petty nitpicking. but then why the surprise when one get's venom thrown in the face? perhaps MD is facing an inferiority complex and does'tt want to accept that things have changed in the last 20+ years? I live in Vienna, hate the current nightmare construction but take the long view of things and can see a very bright future for our area.

On driving, Maryland and Virginia drivers are bred to hate eachother. Just one example: Maryland drivers expect you to move over if you're both driving in the left lane and they are overtaking you. Virginia drivers expect you to go around if you're in such a hurry. Neither approach is better than the other, but they clash, so a Virginia driver in the left lane driving 70 thinks the Maryland guy behind him going 80 is an idiot for flashing his lights like a maniac when the middle lane is wide open. And when the positions are reversed, the Virginia guy wonders why the hell the Maryland guy is slowly moving over to block the Virginia guy from passing on the right.
Maryland drivers think VA has bad signage, while Virginia drivers hate 270 because WTH is with all these exits inside of exits and having to get on to some access road 4 miles before your exit or else you miss it?
Virginia state law requires that drivers in the left lane to cede to faster drivers. This is not about driving habits; it is about the legal requirements applicable to driving:

Just because something is geographically south of you does not mean it is "the south." In that case, is Mexico "the south"? How can you really think Pennsylvania is the South?
As a native of Pennsyltucky, I'll say it: Between Pittsburgh and Philly you'll find Alabama.
