But for my parents, they found a sitter (all the sitter had to be was a semi-competent adult) and my parents traveled, for as long as two weeks. We wouldn't have been driven to ECs. We ate what the school fed us. We weren't catered to the way kids/teens are. Also once there was a 16 yr old in the house who could drive, parents also left us for trips.[/quote]
