- great leap:  communism, a European invention, thanks

- African wars:  wow, destabilized countries and warring factions because of European plundering of the continent.  France lit people on fire in the streets of Algiers while Belgians murdered over a million and cut off the hands of thousands of children in Congo.

- emporer worship in Japan and imperial Japan:  go read up on the history of the greater East Asia  co prosperity sphere, which was in response to white westerners from Europe making a mess all over Asia, like the British bending over and reaming the Chinese for decades. Literally invented to insulate themselves from western imperialism and communist thought invented by the west.

- black September: literally of very little consequence to the world at large. No where near as damaging as the legacy of imperialism that has caused so many border disputes to this day.

- red guard killings:  see above.  Communism is a western invention from Europe.

- gang violence in El Salvador:  El Salvador has been a mess ever since Spanish colonialism and since chaos broke out after Napoleon occupied Spain and the Spanish lost control over all of their colonies.  Once again, the poison of communism that was invented by Europeans caused more civil wars in the later part of the 20th.

-AIDs in Russia:  not sure what your point is here given that this is an internal health problem that affects little people outside the borders of Russia.

Now do India/Pakistan disputes, Israel/Palestine, Venezuela/Guyana, all of WW1 and WW2, and the list goes on and on.  The world is thoroughly messed up because of Europeans and their colonialism. [/quote]

Not sure why are you include communism on that list. Buddhism is an Asian ‘invention’ but nobody is forced to adopt it. It’s a little insulting to deny agency of people like the Chinese who chose to adopt communism. There are also plenty of people who might argue communism was a positive in certain countries. Isn’t it a very US perspective to say it was bad? [/quote]
