This is common knowledge. Your problem is that you're whining about the wrong things. I actually agree that MCPS bureaucracy is bloated. But the problem is not Starr's "obscene" salary of $2/kid, or that the teachers get paid too much like you guys are always arguing here. There is in fact plenty of fat to cut, in the form of too many administrators in the central MCPS bureaucracy for one thing. But as for salaries -- if you have any understanding of business, you should realize that better salaries attract better talent. Wanna clean out MCPS? Offer $800K and see who starts applying for the position.[/quote]
