The best part about public school is that you can go back to JR if you choose.  The fact that JR allowed other DCPS kids to row in their club was their decision and not in accordance with the regulations.  Most of the rowing teams around this area are governed by a club rather than a school and did not make the same decision JR did.  There was a crackdown on the non-school clubs  because plenty were just doing what they wanted which in some cases was harming athletes.  So it may seem sudden to you but if you are familiar with local high school rowing you would have known this has been in discussion for years.[/quote]
