How can J-R take this crew opportunity away from SWW kids all of a sudden? Our daughter was counting on going to SWW and starting on the J-R crew team after training all year. We are in incoming 9th family with a daughter interested in rowing too - is there a way to organize as parents to start a Walls team?
I’d be willing to bet the parent volunteers who run the JR crew would be helpful if there were SWW parents wanting to stand up a club at Walls. Your eighth grade rower could check with the coaches. Also, there are rowers who are current Walls freshmen, sophomores and juniors who may already be working on this so you could also try to reach them to express interest. BTW, it’s a lot of work for the parents but the kids love it.
+1 The boathouse is actually one of the few convenient locations near Walls. Try to start a club team!
