you are confused. It was not the "Watts" riot - that happened in the 60s when there weren't many Asian owned businesses.

You are referring to the LA riots after Rodney King. They went after those businesses because they were largely in the flashpoint area.  They also went after black owned stores.  All of this is similar to what happened during the Floyd protest. It's not about the race of the store owner but about what store is conveniently nearby where people are protesting.
