OK, so what is wrong with these men that they would have unprotected sex with a woman clearly able to get pregnant and then not provide for the children that most certainly would come from these sexual encounters? They were on notice, after dude #1, that she's ready and able to conceive, and not only did they go ahead and have sex with her anyway, they shirked all responsibility and bailed on her, leaving her a single mother. Where is the outrage directed at all of these men for their irresponsibility and poor decision making? That's right, nowhere, because at the end of the day, it's always the women's fault. [/q i have been struggling with this issue for a couple of weeks for different reasons. I know I am about set off a bomb in the feminist world, but i wonder if what you have described above, which i think is true and horrible (neglectful "fathers" being let off the hook) is an unintended and unfortunate consequence of the theory that abortion "rights" are entirely about women. i mean, i'm not sure you can say that men who impregnate women have no say in what happens to the zygote/fetus, but then say that they are low life scum (which they are) when they take no responsibility. yes, i know i am over simplifying and that there are no real (or easy) answers.
