Uh, we’re on an entertainment and pop culture board. Being judgy is to be expected. That said, I’m not judging her for how she chose to get pregnant or getting pregnant at 48. I’m judging her for perpetuating the notion that this is a natural occurrence in any way. As others have said, she’s a public figure and statements like this lead younger women (and the general public) to think that this is typical or even possible. Instead of blathering on about it being a miracle or pointing to twins in their families, it would have been a lot better if she just announced she was pregnant with twins, and over the moon about it.
