Demieo and Wiz are the oldest and they are 2016 high school grads so they are 23 or 24. No 25 year olds and everybody else younger.
DeMaio is 25. Wiz will be 24 in a couple weeks.
So what? I mean seriously. What is the problem? Eligibility for participation is governed by rules set forth by the NCAA. No one has questioned their eligibility. If you don’t like the rules, go and complain to the NCAA.
Congratulations to the Maryland Terrapins for their dominant season led by 24 and 25 year old “college students.”
Maryland plays by the same rules as any other college. Give it a rest.
Well, that is false. Ivy League schools do not “play by the same rules” as Maryland does.
Their choice.
The statement was that Maryland plays by the same rules as any other college. Which is false.
Actually your statement is false. They played in an NCAA Championship Tournament where everyone plays by the same rules as set out by the NCAA. Just because a league may have additional rules does not make that statement false.
You're not making any sense. The eligibility rules that Ivy League teams play by are absolutely different than the rules that Maryland plays by. The NCAA gloss you are putting on it is just your own spin and has nothing to do with the initial statement, which was "Maryland plays by the same rules as any other college."
You're the one not making any sense. The NCAA mandates rules for all colleges and those are the ones that apply to all colleges who play in the NCAA tournament. The Ivy League voluntarily imposes additional standards on its members. That is their choice as pointed out earlier. Give it a rest -- the Ivy is no purer than anyone else just because they have chosen to prohibit 5th year seniors/grad transfers. Maryland's greatness will not be diminished by specious arguments.
Why don't you give it a rest with your stupid strawman arguments? Someone--perhaps you--stated that all the colleges play by the same rules. Regardless of the source of those rules, that's a false statement. Period. All the other nonsense you are raising about "diminished greatness" arguments is just stuff that you are making up because you are apparently sensitive and defensive about this.
MD won playing by the rules as they are. If it will make you feel better, their coach is an Ivy grad.
