So what? I mean seriously. What is the problem?
Eligibility for participation is governed by rules set forth by the NCAA. No one has questioned their eligibility.
If you don’t like the rules, go and complain to the NCAA.
Congratulations to the Maryland Terrapins for their dominant season led by 24 and 25 year old “college students.”
Have you considered crying about it?
You mad, bro? Defensive about the fact that Maryland is a crap school with low standards?
The colleges and universities board is down the page. This is the lacrosse board. This year Maryland is the top of the heap. Almost did it last year too. Poised to do it again next year. Been playing varsity lacrosse here for 100 years and never, not even once, have they ever finished having lost more than they won. Can any of your precious Ivy League schools say that? Thought not. Take your observations as to who has the best PhD program in Sanskrit elsewhere.
And yet Maryland went more than 40 years without winning a championship and there’s an Ivy League school that has won more championships than Maryland. How embarrassing.

Well, that is false. Ivy League schools do not “play by the same rules” as Maryland does.
Their choice.
The statement was that Maryland plays by the same rules as any other college. Which is false.
Actually your statement is false. They played in an NCAA Championship Tournament where everyone plays by the same rules as set out by the NCAA. Just because a league may have additional rules does not make that statement false.
You're not making any sense. The eligibility rules that Ivy League teams play by are absolutely different than the rules that Maryland plays by. The NCAA gloss you are putting on it is just your own spin and has nothing to do with the initial statement, which was "Maryland plays by the same rules as any other college."

You're the one not making any sense. The NCAA mandates rules for all colleges and those are the ones that apply to all colleges who play in the NCAA tournament. The Ivy League voluntarily imposes additional standards on its members. That is their choice as pointed out earlier. Give it a rest -- the Ivy is no purer than anyone else just because they have chosen to prohibit 5th year seniors/grad transfers. Maryland's greatness will not be diminished by specious arguments.
Why don't you give it a rest with your stupid strawman arguments? Someone--perhaps you--stated that all the colleges play by the same rules. Regardless of the source of those rules, that's a false statement. Period. All the other nonsense you are raising about "diminished greatness" arguments is just stuff that you are making up because you are apparently sensitive and defensive about this.
MD won playing by the rules as they are. If it will make you feel better, their coach is an Ivy grad.
No one has argued otherwise. Congrats again to the Terps and their 25 and 24 year old players (including Jonathan Donville ‘21) and Coach Tillman ‘91.
Sad and bitter. That can only mean one thing, you actually do Fear the Turtle!
