I don’t get any of the comments. Everyone’s required to wear masks indoors. That isn’t bvr’s rule; that’s the mandate. Kn95s and similar are more comfortable than regular masks, and they’re more effective.

Most of these comments are anti-mask and pro-letting kids get COVID on the assumption that no kid will be the unlucky one who needs a hospital bed but can’t get one because the hospitals are full of unvaccinated idiots who won’t do their basic duty as citizens. That’s not a totally indefensible position, but…that is literally not a choice that is on the table.

OP here. I was fine with my kids wearing cloth masks (not thrilled, but accepting of the rules). My kids have never worn a KN95 mask, but I have and I can’t breath with it. I can’t imagine my kids being able to run, play, etc while wearing one of those. On top of that, my kids (and all of their classmates) are fully vaccinated since a few weeks ago.

My children and I will accept the rule of course, but I am really mad about it and I am starting to see that “the other side” has several valid points.

I also have a 2 year old that has to wear a mask. I think this is ridiculous too because he chews on it and it’s always drenched when I pick him up…. But that’s another story.

I wish there was a middle ground where kids had to get tested (maybe even twice a week) and do not need to wear these awful masks that I personally can’t stand for more than a few minutes and did not have to breath all of their carbon dioxide.[/quote]
