The administration (through OPM) has already encouraged agencies to rethink about RTO and expand telework / other flexibilities. Some agencies will do this, many will not. we already know the reasons for coming back to the office will be bogus. Once leadership has made the determination it will happen regardless of all our hoopla. So three options: 1) get your mind right to return 2) find another agency that is allowing more flexibility, or 3) resign from federal service and find a job in another sector that will allow for 100 percent virtual work a 4th option for those eligible--retire!
Sure, and the bolded is what we're doing in this thread. People want to know which agencies are allowing more telework so they can either pursue or avoid those jobs. It's not hoopla, it's information sharing.
The number of post complaining and whining about lack of flexibility well outweighs the general info sharing on which agencies are flexible. The latter seems to be an afterthought. Folks rarely say which agency they are complaining about. and the folks that have this amazing flexibility don't often say which agency they are from. most agencies listed are ones that made the bold statement to bring folks back within the first three months of 2022.
