I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked Noel and Sandy, esp. given how big the shoes they had to fill with Mel & Sue's departure.  But Sandy's down-to-earth Scandi demeanor was so helpful to balance out Noel's weirdness, whereas with Matt*, the two just tip over into actual creepiness (recalling the whole Peter season, yikes).

Agreed on Matt versus Sandi.

Many of the Matt/Noel sketches were just weird. The mock about to embrace in a passionate kiss was stupid and bizarre, because Noel isn't gay and what was the point? Their sketches were one big fail after another. [b]I don't doubt Matt is a very nice guy[/b] but they did nothing for the show and only came across as those weird second cousins who never bathe and with a gross sense of humor you always hope will never turn up at family gatherings. You have zero idea what he's really like. I met him multiple times on the London comedy circuit. He isn't someone I'd call "nice".[/quote] Are you the same poster who claims that Sue is also not ‘nice’?[/quote]
