There's been less of that this season. I felt badly for Peter in the last season when he was effectively harrassed by them both and turned bright pink.

I think that's what happened with Giuseppe's buns - Noel even admitted to distracting him by talking as he was watching the oven.

Giuseppe fully looked at the Belgian buns up close and declared that they needed more time when they were already dark brown; even my 11 yo could tell that they were already over baked, and Giuseppe left them in several more minutes as a conscious choice. It was weird.

I do agree that Noel was oddly distracting at the tail end of this season, though. Like he was stir crazy.

I hope they get rid of Matt. I can’t stand him.

Their sketches were one big fail after another. I don't doubt Matt is a very nice guy but they did nothing for the show and only came across as those weird second cousins who never bathe and with a gross sense of humor you always hope will never turn up at family gatherings.

You have zero idea what he's really like. I met him multiple times on the London comedy circuit. He isn't someone I'd call "nice".

DCUM people come from all walks of life. Someone who is involved in stand up comedy can easily be going to London for comedy shows and events while living in DC or somewhere else in the US. Completely plausible. I know artists and academics who shuttle back and forth between the US and Europe all the time for work and shows and conferences and lectures.

I love Noel, too, and really enjoyed him with Sandy. Matt isn't my favorite - I feel like Noel needs someone who's more of a straight man to balance him out, and he and Matt are too chaotic forces together. Noel has to be the straight man some of the time! I liked Matt better this season than laast, though. Maybe I'm just getting used to him.

Sandi Toksvig was a bigger star (and for many years longer) in the UK than M&S were. She was a main contributor on several big comedy shows in the 80s and 90s. Whose Line Is It Anyway - which was really dominated by male performers. She was on that.
