How about--instead of focusing on racism--focus on learning about our sameness? Sure, you can acknowledge that there are bullies and handle that. And, you can acknowledge that there is racism. But neither should be the focus. When you focus on something, you magnify it. That is not a wise thing to do and anyone who is following the new curriculums and "equity" initiative should realize this. There is a saying: "You don't make yourself look better by making someone else look bad." [/quote]
