It wasn’t necessarily all at once. They likely left on Sunday morning and weren’t found until Tuesday morning. Dog was leashed to dad and baby couldn’t have survived on her own. I think it was the heat. The trail looks steep and a 1yo plus carrier probably adds at least 25-30 lbs.[/quote]

That's true. No time of death for any of the bodies has been released. I still don't think it was the heat. Not for everyone and the dog. The dog at the very least would not have died in 24 hours with no water. Would it have been severely dehydrated? Sure. But it would be alive.
