If this is what they produced, yes. Links to equity for math, 'parents need to give up their privilege for equitable schooling' heterogeneous classrooms, calculus isn't important to take in high school, etc.
Omg - they posted one link to detracking. Better freak out.
Plus said, "VMPI proposals do promote equity and that the practice of isolating low-achieving students in low-level or slower-paced mathematics groups should be eliminated" And LCPS has already implemented it.
Implemented what? The proposal doesn’t even have a draft yet.
Tell that to the kids not in algebra or prealgebra next year because of what LCPS did to implement VMPI.
LCPS didn't "implement VMPI" because VMPI hasn't even published a draft yet. Unless some dumba$$ there prematurely adopted what they thought was VMPI. More likely....LCPS was already planning these changes.
Yes they have published a draft. It's what they've been talking about in their videos. They've been talking more to the division staff directly. LCPS knew about the change in classes coming in a few years, and made changes accordingly. They may be revisiting given the walkback on tracking, but the change to algebra/geometry/algebra 2 can certainly be considered a first draft.
No - they don't have a "published draft" - they have a freakin' infographic. If LCPS made changes to their course offerings based off an infographic then obviously that was premature.
