The truth is any severe disability will also hit all the boxes for autism.[/quote] Yes. And it's too bad. My child had severe lead poisoning. I've spoken to other parents of severe lead poisoning. Our kids have a. similar profile and require similar services. But the only way to get anything approaching what we need is to accept the autism diagnosis. So I have accepted it for now. It also holds back research because a kid with lead poisoning and ACB autism diagnosis is very different than a kid with regressive autism or a kid with oxygen deprivation at birth diagnosed with autism or a kid with fragile X...
