So is this thread a call to action or just wishful thinking, while Congress does nothing?
The folks here could caravan to the border or a drop off station to pick up kids and/or families. They won’t.
Why won’t you?
Because I'm not the one accusing others of not doing enough, while not doing enough. So many here volunteering their homes but not one physically mobilizing to go get these kids. But they feel so generous and woke just saying it.
In other words if you know something terrible is going on in something run by the government just shut up because there’s nothing you can do. Never mind that public outcry can make politicians act. Sorry you don’t care about 2 year olds sitting in their soiled diapers and eating uncooked rice in federal detention.
Get down there and offer assistance. In fact, why don't you take the several federal jobs open that provide assistance in these centers? Your outrage is met with equal frustration of the Republican and Democrats of the BP at this untenable situation. Have a heart and go there. Stay in a cheap, plentiful hotel, go to a big box and buy all the GD toothbrushes and clean underwear you can afford. Wash clothes since you want to send others to The Hague for a child in a soiled nappy and teens babysitting. Just do something other than complain. You welcomed the migrants with open arms, who have enough money to pay cartel coyotes who used their children as pawns and all you can do is complain when the situation isn't perfect. I get the distinct feeling this tendency permeates your entire life. Are you yelling at your plant because it needs water? "Somebody DO SOOOOOOOMETHING." I don't think you understand how overwhelmed the normal support systems are there because you have issues you are unable examine yourself. I empower you to be your best.
