Counterpoints to your valid argument:
-I think it is morally defensible, this is just another example of privilege but on a grand stage. Her ultimate motivator was trying to give her children the best education, chance, etc available. That’s not an absurd way to feel as a parent. Correct, majority of parents can’t afford to do what she did and an even larger majority would never take an illegal action like she did, but the motivator is a common feeling amongst parents. Always striving for the best for your child.

How exactly do rejected USC (or other college) applicants establish their standing as the individuals harmed? It would have to be done as a class action, and although formally that might result in being made whole the truth is . . . not really.

You would be cool with her never going to class and potentially paying someone else to take her tests for her?  Somehow her sister managed to stay in the school in spite of the fact that her parents bribed her way in.  You think these academic dim bulbs could pass college level courses all on their own?  Maybe they could try really, really hard and be great on the crew team, too?  Lol.[/quote]
