-I think it is morally defensible, this is just another example of privilege but on a grand stage. Her ultimate motivator was trying to give her children the best education, chance, etc available. That’s not an absurd way to feel as a parent. Correct, majority of parents can’t afford to do what she did and an even larger majority would never take an illegal action like she did, but the motivator is a common feeling amongst parents. How exactly do rejected USC (or other college) applicants establish their standing as the individuals harmed? It would have to be done as a class action, and although formally that might result in being made whole the truth is . . . not really.

Then there would be the classmates who did get in. As long as Olivia Jade never went to class, I could probably deal with it if I were a USC freshman. If she showed up, I would scream. If she said a word I would want to choke her.
