"maybe you can look at this like an Amazon review" That is an interesting idea. I also wonder what the original poster ended up with? Here is an accurate review of this club based on where a player is: Sophomore or Jr: These players should already know where they stand. Join Madlax if invited but most should stay with current club. Capital teams are good at these ages. If your son is not a Capital or A player, do not waste time on the mixed 2020-2022 DMV teams. Save money and sign up for showcases and camps on your own. Freshman: Many kids are leaving the 2022 team so there could be a few openings. This is a good team. 8th grade: DC Dogs is one of the best (top 5 nationally) however this team formed after the former 2023 team collapsed. Buyer be ware this is a MD Club Blue team that runs a bit different from the other Madlax teams. They could be a good experience if your son can make the team. Do not waste time on the 2023/24 DMV team. 7th Grade: Capital team is one of the best in the nation but roster is large. If your son is a top player go for it. If not, be prepared to watch others play. Owner's kids are on this team and he coaches it. This is both good and bad depending on your son's skills. If he is a good player this will help in the long run. 5th and 6th grade: Madlax Capital if great the DMV teams not so much. If your son is not on the Capital team expect to play in lesser events. Better options in NOVA like Evergreen or VLC, CAV. In fact at 2026 I hear the VLC team is the top team. 4th grade an younger: Stick with NVYLL and wait on club. Unlike Maryland REC, NVYLL still is a great lacrosse experience. Those that think they will be Madlax for life starting in 2nd grade should look at the turnover on older teams. Madlax is a good club if it is right for your son. They do play a high level of lacrosse and provide exposure for those who want to play in college. It may not be the right fit for all. I hope this helps.
