Homebody here. DH makes 7 figures as in his line of work. We have amazing benefits, completely free healthcare with no co-pays and all out of network covered at 100%, free country club membership (which we do not do because we don't like Country Clubs), amazing bonus and salary. We go on a couple short trips a year to see family. Every few years we take a "fancy" trip to places like the Florida theme parks, Cancun, and one time to Italy. But this happens every 3 years or so. Most of our money goes to our kids' private school education, college savings, home improvement, and charity. We give a good portion of our money to charities and we also started a non profit and give a lot there too. Our cars are 7 and 4 years old and Japanese. Our kids are learning what the important things are in life...family, education, and giving back. Yes, they see on their Instagram feed that all their friends are going to ridiculously extravagant places, but they just have to deal with it. It is interesting that a lot of the kids who are going on fancy vacations are their public school friends. I guess it is because they have more disposable income to use for that purpose. Either way, we can afford it, but like I said, I am a homebody and don't need that level of stimulation to be happy. Peace.
