Why is upsetting to you to have your child identified as a girl? Girls are awesome as are the things that are traditionally associated with girls. We need to stop demonizing, pink, bows tutus, and dolls.neo
When did I say I demonized pink, bows, tutus, and dolls? My daughter has pink things, dolls, and bows. She doesn't have a tutu only because she's a baby and I never thought to get her one. I don't care if she's identified as a girl. I care that my MIL looks at her in anything but dresses and pink things and says, "why don't you dress her as a girl?" when I do often put her in dresses. I just don't *always* put her in dresses and pink onesies with rhinestones on them.
