[/quote] I'm not blaming the teachers. And yes, I agree that most of the big problems come from poverty. But the odds of the government doing something to fix those big problems are very, very low. So what's left? Fiddling around on the margins with things like the Common Core standards. And even that seems to more than we, as a society, are able to accomplish.[/quote]
