Well said!  This is the glaring problem that is never to be spoken about and I'm sick of it.  I would have had so much more respect for the writers (and the actress) if they had shown her going on a gastric bypass journey.  She's a beautiful woman, but is morbidly obese and there's no sugarcoating that.  As the mother of two young children, her health and safety should be foremost.  In real life, doctors AND family members would be pleading with her to have the surgery.  At that weight, diet and exercise aren't going to touch the issue.  [/quote]
Have you all watched the whole show? There has been TONS of storyline on this. It was Kate’s entire plot for like two years. She and Toby met at a meeting for people with disordered eating.[/quote]
