I'm going off the comments that I see in this thread and the "thots and prayers" comments from friends. The online left is radical and speaks for the party. Do I think they actually represent most liberals? No. But they dominate discussions.  Even otherwise reasonable comments from liberals on this contain "but...."  rather than just a denunciation. I don't even think they believe it. I think they are so cowed by the extremists in their party that they have to say "but..." in order to get away with expressing any sympathy.  [/quote]
