1. The shooter has not been caught yet. You do not know his motives.
2. Even if he is caught and found to be a politically motivated liberal, this does not mean that all or even a majority of liberals endorse Kirk’s shooting or are “deranged and violent.”
I'm going off the comments that I see in this thread and the "thots and prayers" comments from friends. The online left is radical and speaks for the party. Do I think they actually represent most liberals? No. But they dominate discussions. Even otherwise reasonable comments from liberals on this contain "but...." rather than just a denunciation. I don't even think they believe it. I think they are so cowed by the extremists in their party that they have to say "but..." in order to get away with expressing any sympathy.
Again, you give a free pass to all the right wing violence.
No. We denounce the violence. No "but." How weak are your arguments if you have to physically intimidate people into pretending to believe them? Murder is an expression of weakness.
You clearly do not denounce violence. It's not even a debate. You only denounce it when it's carried out against someone on your side.

MSNBC Fires Matthew Dowd After Charlie Kirk Assassination Comments
In response, Dowd said that Kirk has "been one of the most divisive, especially divisive younger figures in this, who is constantly sort of pushing this sort of hate speech or sort of aimed at certain groups. And I always go back to, hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions."
"And I think that is the environment we are in," Dowd continued. "You can't stop with these sort of awful thoughts you have and then saying these awful words and not expect awful actions to take place. And that's the unfortunate environment we are in."

An MTSU employee today offered inappropriate and callous comments on social media concerning the horrific and tragic murder of Charlie Kirk. The comments by this employee, who worked in a position of trust directly with students, were inconsistent with our values and have undermined the university’s credibility and reputation with our students, faculty, staff and the community at large. This employee has been fired effective immediately. We extend our deepest sympathies to the Kirk family.
Sincerely,
Sidney A. McPhee
